Dr. Krishnamurthy Subramanian is a Chief Economic Advisor (CEA), Ministry of Finance, Government of India. Along with his CEA role, Subramanian also serves as an Associate Professor of finance at the Indian School of Business (ISB) Hyderabad. Dr. Krishnamurthy Subramanian is a leading expert in banking and economic policy. He is a prominent name in the Indian banking sector. He has served on the expert committee on the governance of banks for The Reserve Bank of India.

He holds a Ph.D. from the prestigious financial economics institute University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Krishnamurthy Subramanian was named to the Honor Roll of the Institute for being a batch topper during his MBA at the Indian Institute of Management in Calcutta. He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in Kanpur.
