Smita Sharma is a senior, independent and award winning journalist. She consults with the national Hindi news channel TV9 Bharatvarsh as Executive Editor and hosts the flagship 9pm show ‘Dainik Bharatvarsh’. She contributes to newspapers/ magazines and portals and comments regularly on air on issues of foreign policy and security. She was Deputy Editor with The Tribune until recently. Her reportage of the Kashmir conflict in 2010 won the prestigious Ramnath Goenka Award and her coverage of the Shahbagh protests in Bangladesh in 2013 won an ENBA award.
